Future-proof with Coracle
On the back of strong demand, we are pleased to announce that we will launch an
online Forward Freight Agreement (FFA) course in spring 2009.
We have been swamped with requests to put together an FFA trading course and
have been working hard behind the scenes to meet your needs.
Respected lecturer, Prof. Tom James – author of our popular emissions trading
course – will be writing the course (with some assistance from London’s Baltic
Exchange)
This partnership promises to simplify the often-misunderstood FFA sector,
giving students the insight on why shippers might use futures to protect
themselves against the volatility of freight rates.
Middle East mastery
The Middle East now has its very own Coracle outlet with Professor Tom James
opening our representative office in Dubai this month (January). Full contact

Tom is a real asset to the Coracle team bringing with him a wealth of
experience… He has spent 20 years in the energy, emissions and commodity sector
covering investment and trading and is currently a lecturer at the American
University in Dubai working on a programme with the Dubai Mercantile Exchange.
To top it all Tom is the author of our emissions trading course and is
currently writing our FFA course!

Coracle is delighted to welcome Simon Maxwell to the Coracle team as we look to

With a background of client management from the travel industry (working with
Scott Dunn World, Gullivers and Quest of the Classics), Simon will help to
develop our bespoke training solutions for corporate customers.
Simon is on hand to help you work out the right professional development
courses from Coracle and can give detailed assistance to companies who would
