The Maritime Twitter Top 40 comes from Coracle Voice and aggregates the 40 most influential tweeters in the maritime industry.
The Top 40 list is refreshed at the beginning of every month to reflect changes over the past month.
We track hundreds of people and consider:
+ the number of followers they have,
+ the number of unique references to the person in Twitter,
+ how often is the person uniquely retweeted,
+ how often does the person retweet other people and the relative frequency of the persons update.
We measure

all on a ‘per follower’ basis to give a number which we multiply by their impact and this gives the ranking score.
