Argo0 lift off

We’re delighted to announce that shipping networking site Argo0 (www.argo0.com) has been relaunched with a new simplified registration process and easier-to-use forums coming online this month

With a fantastic shipping glossary, hot topics in the forums and essential shipping knowledge for students and ex-students alike, Argo0 is the source for maritime information.

Visit today and check out Argo0’s new look site – we’d love to hear what you thin - you can email us on info@coracleonline.com

Another way

Coracle, in partnership with ICS, is pleased to be able to offer ‘Webinars’ to students: web-based seminars will give students the opportunity to participate in live sessions.

Teaming webinars with interactive eLearning and podcasts will give you all the tools you need to tackle the ICS examinations with confidence.

And if there’s a topic that you would like more help on, you can simply request a webinar session for us to consider.

Find your seat

Calling all students: the deadline for registering for the April 2009 exams is fast approaching!

Wouldn’t it be a shame if after all your hard work studying with Coracle you couldn’t prove yourself in the annual ICS examinations because you missed the deadline for examination entry?

All candidates at centres overseas, including Eire, need to register for exam entry by January 21, while those in the have until February 21. But why leave it until then? Fill in the form today and secure your place in the 2009 exams.

Cruise control

We want the Coracle course selection process to be as pain-free as possible for you, so that’s why we’ve introduced a specially-designed Decision Engine to help guide you to the perfect course.

All you need to do is answer a few questions and our Decision Engine will give the eLearning options most appropriate to your needs.

That could be a one-day training course in commercial shipping or emissions trading, Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers registration, English learning courses, or specialised Diplomas for you or your company.

Maritime Media awards

We were thrilled to be nominated at the Maritime Media awards for our www.ShippingPodcasts.com website: our congraulations go to Lloyds List, the winners of our category.

Coracle's podcasts are proving a run away success with download numbers growing at over 25% per month. We have produced around 200 episodes so far and our first Mandarin episode went out in October.

We have new content providers to introduce during November and as ever, if you or your company would be willing to provide content, then we would love to hear from you.

Quiz

While shipping concentrates our minds on the coastal areas of countries, it’s easy to forget that a large proportion of shipping business takes place in the capitals of those same countries.

Can you name the capitals of these shipping nations?

To enter the quiz, simply email us your answers to the questions found here
