Coracle in construction
Working with an international construction services company presented a range of challenges. The client delivers fit-out, construction, engineering services and a range of specialist solutions. They are focused on the communities where they work, aiming to employ local people and to use local suppliers wherever possible.
With a workforce spread across multiple locations, and a reputation for high quality, efficient service, the client had already developed an in-house training and development programme to support their training and development.
Whilst face-to-face training remains an important part of the approach, the management wanted to ensure that many of the company’s programmes were available to everyone in the organisation on an ‘anytime, anywhere, any-device’ basis. Equally, they wanted to make core elements available to sub-contractors and supply chain.
Coracle delivered a branded Osprey-VLE based portal. The site launched with courses based on the clients existing content, as well as carrying third party course content.
Commenting on the project, the Head of Academy, Guy Fairweather said:
“ISG has made a substantial commitment to training with the formation of the Academy. Our goal is to ensure that everyone in the business is supported with appropriate learning and development, and using an online platform designed for any device access, and tailored to suit our brand, culture and systems is a central part of the process.”
