Warren Brook

After graduating with an honours degree in Law from Jesus College Oxford, Warren qualified as a Barrister but did not practice, moving into the world of International Trade and Shipping in the City as a Shipbroker.

He lived and worked in Tokyo for 6 years before returning to the UK and becoming Managing Director of a major broking firm at the age of 34. He subsequently joined the private Partnership of Simpson Spence and Young (SSY) and became a Partner and Managing Director there until his retirement in 2011 at the age of 57.

During his time at SSY, he expanded the firms Dry Bulk shipping business through both acquisitions and organic growth. He also founded the firms Freight Derivative Department which is now one of the international leaders in that field. Since his retirement from SSY he has been involved in private investments, consultancy and expert witness appointments
